What is a "Complex - High Hazard Facility"?
|
Large High Hazard Facilities or Buildings with Complex Piping require a different approach as a part of your Cross Connection Control Program. Service line protection (Containment) may not be enough? How are the occupants inside of the facility protected from potential hazardous cross connections? Certain states and water purveyors require periodic Cross Connection Control surveys to be performed beyond the water meter and require the installation of backflow preventers at the source of the potential hazard (Isolation).
